'mom, i want to make some mittens'
she was holding up a ball of yarn and a crochet hook.
i have tried to teach her how to crochet a couple of times but it was always a little too difficult and she didn't last too long.
mittens, hmmm...
we started with just a simple chain.
i showed her once and she figured it out.
love it!!
she decided to just make me a bracelet and next time we would work on the mittens
next time...

ReplyDeleteAnd such a lovely bracelet!
yeah Ella! So cute.
ReplyDeleteAndy raves about you and your creativity. I am glad he gave me your blog address. It is a pleasure to meet you through Andy's bragging and online! I hope we will meet in person one day. You have a beautiful family and I love your creativity.
ReplyDeleteWow! Mad props to Ella! I just barely had the patience to learn last year...and I'm 29! :) I should have had you teach me years ago, Melissa! :)
ReplyDeleteYay for Ella! Her chain bracelet turned out beautifully! Last year, one of my student's grandma made me a super cool scarf of which the length was made entirely of chain.
ReplyDeleteThis is so incredibly sweet! I was just taught a new knitting pattern by a friend who learned in school when she was six! If your daughter's anything like my friend, she'll be a MASTER when she grows up! :)
ReplyDeleteoh how awesome :) :)
